About us
The German Robotics Association, DRV, is an association of robotics experts and beginners. Together we want to strengthen the competitiveness of small and medium-sized companies, but also handicraft businesses, by supporting them in the use of robot technology.
Our mission:
- To promote the use of robotics in Germany
- To offer members a network for information and collaboration
- To strengthen the competitiveness of our members by using the automation potential
- Use the opportunities of digitization to develop new business potential
- Make robot automation easy and affordable for the end user
Our goal:
To counteract the shortage of skilled workers by using 1,000,000 robots by 2030.
The German Robotics Association was founded in 2020 and currently has over 90 members.

Webinar: Cybersecurity
The global and European cybersecurity landscape is currently experiencing immense dynamism. A groundbreaking development will take place from August 1, 2025 in the Radio Equipment Directive (also known as RED), as it will set explicit cybersecurity requirements from that point on. The Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) will also have cybersecurity requirements for digital elements (software), although the CRA has yet to be adopted by the EU. And last but not least, we must not forget the UK PSTI for consumer products, which, as a counterpart to the RED, will be mandatory in the United Kingdom from April 2024. Find out more about emerging regulations from TÜV SÜD and ask your questions. Since TÜV SÜD is represented in the respective standards committees, the information is accordingly well-founded and up-to-date. Note: Participation in the webinar is free of charge, but only for members of the German Robotics Association. Registration is therefore required.
