Solutions Engineer West-Germany

This role combines technical expertise with sales support: You will guide customers from technical evaluation to successful onboarding on the IXON Cloud platform. You will assess the technical suitability, advise on configuration and cybersecurity, and ensure that customers fully leverage the solution's added value. We are looking for a junior to mid-level professional with experience in mechanical engineering or industrial automation, as well as IT/OT knowledge. Fluency in German and English is required. IXON Cloud is seeking a Solutions Engineer for Western Germany who embodies the interface between technical expertise and customer focus. This hybrid position, ideally based in the greater Krefeld, Düsseldorf, Kleve, or Duisburg area, is organizationally part of the Revenue team and reports directly to the Sales Manager DACH. As a Solutions Engineer, you will support new and existing customers throughout the entire technical process: from the initial evaluation of whether the IXON platform is suitable for their specific machine infrastructure, to full commissioning. You will assist with onboarding to the IXON Cloud platform, advise on configuration, user management, and cybersecurity measures, and ensure that customers realize the full value of their investment. For more complex implementations, you will connect customers with suitable technical partners. Your success will be measured by the number of successfully onboarded customers. The ideal candidate possesses both strong technical skills and excellent communication abilities. Experience in mechanical engineering or industrial automation is required, as well as knowledge of IT (APIs, programming fundamentals) and OT (PLC, HMI, industrial communication protocols). This position is aimed at junior to mid-level professionals with 1 to 8 years of work experience and a completed degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or equivalent). Fluency in German and English is required, and a driver's license is also expected.
