We are pleased to introduce version 5.0 of our Neugart Calculation Program (NCP) design software. This version focuses more on practical cycles, which can be imported from recorded system data. This allows for even more precise gearbox design and full utilization of the upper performance limit. Where applicable, this enables smaller sizes and thus cost savings for customers. In addition, NCP 5.0 visualizes gearbox utilization via characteristic map displays. User-friendliness has been further enhanced with new tools, such as those for determining positioning accuracy and pitch, as well as an optimized gearbox filter. The NCP Neugart Calculation Program makes it easy to find the perfect gearbox-motor combination. This intuitive tool simplifies drive train dimensioning and is free of charge for customers. Our goal: to make cooperation with our customers as efficient and easy as possible. This calculation software provides the perfect basis for designing the complete drive train. With the NCP, customers can configure the right gearbox-motor combination in just a few minutes by entering their application data. The result: exactly the right gearbox for your drive concept. The user-friendly gears of our Neco® series have made robot technology accessible in conventional machine and plant engineering. The ready-to-install servo gearboxes set standards with respect to design, corrosion protection, motor interface and modularity, in order to achieve huge leaps in performance. PLQE040 The PLQE040 with frame size 040 complements the successful Economy planetary gearbox series PLQE, for which a total of four frame sizes between 040 and 120 are now available. With a centering collar diameter on the output side of just 35 mm, the newcomer presents itself as a true "mini powerhouse" in the Economy family. Depending on the gear ratio, it can transmit nominal torques of up to 20 Nm. The total length of the gearbox, incl. adapter, is just over 9 cm, depending on the selected motor adapter. As on all PLQE gearboxes, the square output flange of the PLQE040 allows uncomplicated mounting on the system without intermediate adapters. Despite its small size, the new PLQE gearbox has high-performance deep groove ball bearings on the output shaft, so that considerable radial forces of up to 390 newtons can still be absorbed here. It is offered with 24 different gear ratios from i=3 to i=512 and is available with either a smooth output shaft or a keyed shaft. PLFE055 With the new PLFE055, the PLFE Economy gearbox series with a flanged output now offers four frame sizes, starting at 055. This newcomer is available in 1- and 2- stage versions and with gear ratios from i=3 to i=100. The centering collar diameter here is 5.5 cm and, depending on the gear ratio, can transmit torques of up to 32 Nm. The support spacing of the deep groove ball bearings on the output side largely corresponds to the larger model PLFE064, so that the PLFE055 can support almost the same radial forces and breakdown torque despite its more compact dimensions. Its flange interface makes it particularly easy to install.

Deep learning methods can be used with the software to monitor the quality of your products, e.g. for completeness, surface damage or structural defects, making monitoring that little bit more intelligent. Neuro-T can also be operated by non-AI experts, making it easier to set up a model that can be adapted specifically to your application. The <b>safety gate system PSENmgate</b> can be used anywhere that you need <b>safe guard locking</b> with control elements. PSENmgate is flexible to use on <b>accessible safety gates,</b> as well as <b>covers</b> and <b>flaps.</b> For example, the safety gate system PSENmgate enables <b>safe guard locking of accessible safety gates on a robot cell.</b> Several safety gates can also be connected quickly and simply in series – <b>with minimal wiring.</b>

With the enabling device HD5, ABB sets new standards in terms of safety when operating systems and machines. Particular emphasis was placed on ergonomic design, taking into account the requirements for hygienic design. The use of high-quality materials in conjunction with the tested protection class IP65 ensures functionality even under harsh environmental conditions such as those found in the food industry. In addition, HD5 has the approvals CE, TÜV-Süd and cULus. With the help of its integrated three-position approval button, the HD5 enables fatigue-free work and improves the safety of people who have to be in a hazardous area due to their work. Other innovative features such as the integrable AS-i bus technology and the optional installation of an emergency stop button ensure individual application options worldwide. HD5 is equipped with additional, freely configurable buttons and signal elements that allow haptic or visual feedback - for example in translucent areas. Ganter is expanding its portfolio with a completely new product family: a thoroughly designed selection of various casters and wheels. Ganter’s standard parts selection is growing once again – with the recent addition of an entirely new category for wheels and casters. The establishment of the new catalog group 3.10 is a clear indication that these mobility-enabling standard parts will have all the room they need. That is only logical given that the wheels and casters serve to complement their proven but static leveling feet relatives, which are available in many different versions. As always, Ganter is entirely focused on practical requirements: the individual types are organized according to the applicable ISO testing procedures, making it easy to associate them with the most important configuration parameters. For example, the new range includes light duty casters with low load capacity, medium duty casters for industrial use and heavy duty casters designed for high dynamic loads coupled with higher travel speeds. Casters are ready-to-install parts consisting of a wheel and a bracket, with the latter generally made of bent sheet steel, except for the heavy duty versions of welded steel. The bracket, available in swivel or fixed versions, holds the wheel and serves for mounting the caster. Fixed casters provide lateral guidance to ensure stable travel both straight and on curves. The swivel brackets with ball bearings enable maximum maneuverability with 360-degree rotation and movement in any direction, a property that is particularly advantageous in tight spaces. Optionally integrated total lock brakes prevent the wheel from turning or rotating in the steering axis, and variants are also available with extendable leveling feet for an even more secure stand. The KA switch combines the advantages and functions of the already established KG and KH switch family in a new product series. The compact main and repair switch was specially developed for machine tools, distribution and control cabinets as well as all areas where high reliability is required in the application. The large connection space enables the connection of different cable cross-sections with finger-safe IP 20 terminals. The KA series is currently available with screw connection, products from the series with ring cable connection will be available soon. Through the approval according to international standards of our products and our global service network, we are the first point of contact for control- and switch disconnectors worldwide.

Design details fulfill specific requirements The Neugart NDF gearbox meets these special requirements with numerous technical details: For example, the gearbox enables extremely fast changes of direction thanks to a low-inertia clamping system at the input stage, which improves the dynamics and thus the cycle time of the robot. At the same time, the torsional backlash is limited to <1 arcmin as a standard feature. The gearbox with the frame size 090 operates with three specially designed planetary gears in the input stage and four in the output stage. This significantly increases the torsional stiffness and the transmittable torque. Four two-stage transmission ratios, each between i=22 and i=55, are available. The output of the NDF has also received special attention in order to optimally meet the specific requirements of a Delta robot: The gear ratio at the output is i=5.5, which allows transmission of very high torques. The flanged output shaft with torque interface has 12 threaded holes (M8 instead of the usual M6), the output flange has 16 holes (instead of the standard eight for each). The gearbox output shaft only rotates back and forth through a limited angle in Delta robots because of their design, making lubrication more difficult. An optimized radial shaft sealing ring in the NDF ensures optimum sealing of the shaft during rapid changes of direction. A food-grade oil lubrication system is available as an option for the NDF. As an additional option, the NDF can be equipped with a stainless steel output shaft and a nickel-plated output flange. These options increase the corrosion resistance of the gearbox. As a result, it also tolerates frequent cleaning with aggressive media, which is essential in the food and pharmaceutical industries.

The IV4 Series can detect parts without using position adjustment, can check if the correct amount of parts are in their proper location, and can read and count targets under tough conditions by using the new AI-OCR tool. Increased brightness, wide-and-narrow field-of-view options, and highly optimized built-in hardware mean that the IV4 is highly stable against environmental concerns like ambient lighting or slight finish changes.
