      Webinar: Cybersecurity

The global and European cybersecurity landscape is currently experiencing immense dynamism. A groundbreaking development will take place from August 1, 2025 in the Radio Equipment Directive (also known as RED), as it will set explicit cybersecurity requirements from that point on. The Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) will also have cybersecurity requirements for digital elements (software), although the CRA has yet to be adopted by the EU. And last but not least, we must not forget the UK PSTI for consumer products, which, as a counterpart to the RED, will be mandatory in the United Kingdom from April 2024. Find out more about emerging regulations from TÜV SÜD and ask your questions. Since TÜV SÜD is represented in the respective standards committees, the information is accordingly well-founded and up-to-date. Note: Participation in the webinar is free of charge, but only for members of the German Robotics Association. Registration is therefore required.

    4. Well in Hand

      Well in Hand

Well in Hand Ganter is once again setting new standards – this time by expanding the range of dimensions for the classic cabinet U-handle GN 565 with a new profile that is especially easy to grip and also offers diverse customization options. In the world of Ganter standard parts, cabinet U-handles offer an entire universe of possibilities. From elegantly curved shapes to practical angled versions and even handles with integrated switching functions or ergonomic finger molding – Ganter offers the right solution for every need and every application, made of high-quality aluminum, stainless steel or robust plastic. A classic and a bestseller, the cabinet U-handle GN 565 was introduced half a century ago when the mechanical engineering standardization committee was looking for solutions that were both ergonomic and aesthetically pleasing as well as affordable. The solution: an extruded aluminum profile that is bent into the shape of a handle. The principle is still perfectly valid today, including for the U-handle GN 565 and its newly added versions. This standard part is now available in even larger dimensions: With a full elliptical cross-section of 35x25 mm and installation lengths between 250 and 500 mm, the handle is very robust. It can withstand up to 6400 Newtons perpendicular to the mounting plane or 5900 Newtons in parallel. This makes the handle suitable even for heavy sliding doors or hatches. Thanks to these values, it can also serve as an attractive guard or retaining bar. The bend radius and the distance between the handle and the mounting plane are sized to accommodate gloved hands. Because the new version retains the same look as its smaller siblings, they can be used together for a consistent aesthetic. On request, Ganter can produce special dimensions, different bend angles, special mounting threads or individual colors – all with short lead times. More information on Ganter standard parts can be foundon the internet at ganternorm.com

    6. WERMA expands its successful MC55 series with the "MC55 High"

WERMA expands its successful MC55 series with the "MC55 High"

With the new "MC55 High," WERMA Signaltechnik continues the success story of the compact MC55 signal light series. The 55 mm diameter light has a higher dome, offering significantly better visibility – even from a greater distance or at unfavourable viewing angles. It can be flexibly integrated and is ideal for applications where status indicators must be in the operator's direct field of vision, such as on machines, conveyor belts, in robot cells, or on peripheral devices. "With the MC55 High, we have created a solution that seamlessly adapts to the requirements of modern industrial environments – visible from afar, eye-catching, flexible, and smartly expandable," says Daniel Kensy, Head of Development at WERMA. "The new design with a higher dome was developed specifically in response to feedback from our customers and represents the next logical step within the MC55 family."

    7. WERMA presents LineLIGHT Fusion Segment | Integrated signaling solution – now also with segmented lighting function

WERMA presents LineLIGHT Fusion Segment | Integrated signaling solution – now also with segmented lighting function

With the introduction of the first modular signal tower KombiSIGN, WERMA Signaltechnik set a technological milestone and defined a new standard for industrial signaling. The family-owned company is now consistently continuing this innovative strength: Following the development of LineLIGHT Fusion – the first fully integrable signaling solution – the next evolutionary stage is now here: LineLIGHT Fusion Segment. This new variant makes it possible to divide the light pattern into several segments and display machine statuses even more precisely, individually, and intuitively. For example, two states can be signaled simultaneously, indicating an even more specific need for action. In addition, an automatic scaling function is available, allowing process steps or progress to be clearly displayed. WERMA is once again setting standards for modern machine design and intelligent signaling solutions.
